I am excited to announce that we now have the availability to TITRE TEST your dogs! RCVS registered Mobile Veterinary Practice Pet Nurse Services will carry out the tests from within the salon using tests from Vaccicheck. These are simple and affordable titre tests, designed to monitor immune status and to prevent the risk of over or indeed under vaccinating.
A single test covers 3 of the core vaccinations including Canine Distemper, Hepatitis & Parvovirus (DHP).
Core vaccines are given to help protect our pets from serious infectious diseases. However, the frequency in which they are given may exceed their necessity. It can be detrimental to your pet's health if these vaccines are given when not necessary.
The key to identifying an individual's actual need for vaccination is by Titre Testing.
WHAT IS A TITRE TEST? 🤔
A titre test is a simple blood test which will determine whether your pet is already immunised from previous vaccinations by detecting if antibodies are present. If antibodies are detected in your pet’s blood, there will be no need to revaccinate.
Studies have shown that ANY measurable level of antibodies found in the blood for Distemper, Hepatitis or Parvovirus indicates that your pet is immune and does not require a booster vaccination.
COST 💰
Total cost per dog is £125.
A non-refundable deposit of £50 will be required to book an appointment.
The remaining balance of £75 will be required on the day.
