Castro and his astonishing sculptures make the viewer look at art and robotics from a completely new perspective, taking the visitor through a journey where technology becomes the vehicle to explore wonder, beauty, and creative power. This discussion will be moderated by Stephen Murphy.
More about Castro:
Castro is comfortable working with everyday objects as mundane as hinges, nails, or electrical conduit. He is equally adept at forming fiberglass, carbon fiber, and metal fabrication using a hydraulic press to hand-fashion the items he needs. Automotive paint and highly polished chromium plating make his work sparkle and shine. His work has been showcased at notable venues like the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), Museum of Ventura County (MVC), Salt Fine Art Gallery and Building Bridges Art Exchange.
On two occasions Castro was selected to represent Latin America at the prestigious LA Art Show.
