This lecture-demonstration will feature seven newly published art songs by Price, with commentary on their history, texts, and significance. Dr. Givens, a celebrated soprano and scholar, was among the first artists to premiere these rediscovered works.

Melissa Givens is an acclaimed soprano known for her expressive artistry and dedication to music by underrepresented composers. She is Assistant Professor of Voice at Pomona College and a frequent performer with Grammy-winning ensembles.
