on Thursday, July 25. At this event, customers can donate at any of the restaurant’s locations. Law
enforcement volunteers will work together with SOTX athletes, staff, and family members to chat with
attendees at each restaurant.

We are giving it to YOU! Special Olympics Texas would like to recognize the hard work and dedication of local
delegations and UCS campuses to not only train and compete, but also as representatives of Special
Olympics Texas. We would like to thank the athletes, coaches and teams by encouraging our programs to
“Adopt a Store”. The expectations of teams are as follows:
- Minimum 6-10 athletes, coaches, and family members volunteer at the delegation or UCS campus
adopted location on Thursday, July 25. Shift times will be provided based on location.
- Delegation or UCS campus will work directly with assigned SOTX staff and law enforcement to plan
the evening at their location.
- Upload all pictures from visits throughout the event to the photo link under your location/team folder.
- Appoint a liaison to attend the virtual information session prior to the Tip-A-Cop event.
- Remain in communication with your assigned SOTX staff leading up to our event.
We are asking a lot of our teams, and we would like to directly thank you for your support! For your teams
commitment, we will be honoring the following:
- We will give $250 in equipment, travel, uniform, etc. expenses that SOTX will pay for your team in 2024 for
every team that “Adopts a Store”
- The store that raises the third highest amount: Total of $500 in equipment, travel, uniform, facilities
etc. expenses that SOTX will pay for your team in 2024.
- The store that raises the second highest amount: Total of $750 in equipment, travel, uniform, facilities
etc. expenses that SOTX will pay for your team in 2024.
- The store that raises the highest amount: Total of $1000 in equipment, travel, uniform, facilities etc.
expenses that SOTX will pay for your team in 2024.
