Are you looking to discuss books with a like-minded group of readers? Join the Tiny Raccoon Book Club where we will be covering books every other month ranging from classics and contemporary fiction to sci-fi, fantasy and horror!We will dig into themes, writing style, character arcs, symbolism and more. Lauren Albergo (co-host of the Seeker and Confessor Podcast) will host our first meeting, Wednesday, March 12 at 7pm where we will be discussing The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Leguin.
This 1969 feminist sci-fi classic won both the Hugo and Nebula awards. A lone human ambassador is sent to the icebound planet of Winter where the inhabitants’ gender is fluid. His goal is to facilitate Winter’s inclusion in a growing intergalactic civilization. But to do so he must bridge the gulf between his own views and those of the strange, intriguing culture he encounters.
