About Tiny Moving Parts
Tiny Moving Parts has always been a vehicle for catharsis, and that’s nothing new on "breathe." The fifth full-length by the Benson, Minnesota, trio sees vocalist/guitarist Dylan Mattheisen and his cousins, brothers Matt (bass) and Billy (drums) Chevalier, tackle issues such as mental health, anxiety and mortality while also expanding their sound. Recorded with longtime collaborator Greg Lindholm and established pop producer John Fields (Jimmy Eat World, Goo Goo Dolls, All Time Low), "breathe" is a valuable reminded that we’re all in this together, channeled through the band’s trademark blend of math-rock, pop-punk and emo, albeit with a few new musical tricks (including some electronic flourishes and a banjo). More than just a collection of songs, "breathe" serves as an important emotional crutch. It’s the friend we all need at our darkest times. It’s the sound of a band coming to terms with their own mortality, their own anxieties, their own self-doubts. And it’s a reminder that, as long as there are songs sung back as if our lives depend on them, we are never alone.
About Action/Adventure
Action/Adventure shouldn’t be here. At least, that’s what the Chicago-based five-piece seem to think. They’re wrong – very wrong – but that’s the overriding theme of their debut album. That’s partly why they named it “Imposter Syndrome” – because when the band signed to Pure Noise Records, they couldn’t quite believe it. Even after they released their seven-track EP “Pulling Focus”in 2021, and even after that EP’s lead track “Barricades”went viral on TikTok, it didn’t feel real. After all, this is a label that’s putout some of their favorite albums by some of their favorite bands, and now they were a part of it. That sense of confused bewilderment was compounded by the timing of it all.
“For us,” says lead vocalist Blake Evaristo, “having a debut on Pure Noise is insane. Especially because, when “Barricades” blew up for us and we got all that TikTok clout, it happened during the pandemic, so we didn’t even play as how till nearly a year later. And I feel like in that time, we were having imposter syndrome, hence the title. It didn’t feel real.” “And honestly,” adds vocalist/guitarist Brompton Jackson, “it still doesn’t even feel real. We’ve just been asking questions like is this real? Do we belong here? Is this even happening?"
About Greywind
Ireland’s alternative emo darlings Greywind are finally back with new music - and a story to tell. The Killarney-based brother and sister duo of Steph and Paul O’Sullivan have experienced a lot in their career. The bands formative years saw the two struggling to navigate the juxtaposition of some remarkable highs and traumatic lows. Heroic praise of their sets at Reading & Leeds and Download Festival were often drowned out by unreasonable expectations of those around them. Even renowned radio DJ Zane Lowe (BBC, Apple Music) referring to Greywind as “A moment you won’t forget if you’re a fan of rock music” didn’t seem to quench the thirst of the short-sightedness surrounding them at the time. Then, when confronted by the isolation of a global pandemic, Greywind found themselves struggling mentally & emotionally to decide on the best path forward. As a result, they swore they wouldn’t put out another note of new music until they had the rights to their major-label-released debut album "Afterthoughts" back. Now, after a lengthy struggle, and a 2023 viral surge that saw multiple songs off "Afterthoughts" reaching millions of new fans globally, they’re more than ready to usher in a new era of their career with a brand new single called "Antidote."
About After Arizona
Heartland Pop-Punk
Releasing their first song back in 2016, After Arizona was birthed from the mind of Frontman Ryan O’Neel. After growing up in the 2000s and falling in love with bands like, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, and blink-182, Ryan (a truly lifelong singer and songwriter) couldn’t help but take influence from the era of TRL, Warped Tour, and Steve-O.
After Arizona lets us all take a heavy dose of the nostalgia of our youth and gives us hope for the future of a familiar genre we all know and love.
