As part of the European Sustainability Week 2024, the Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in Berlin has the pleasure to invite you to an event "Tiny House, Big Tradition: Exploring Estonian Sauna in Modern Living" on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 18:00, at the Estonian Embassy, Hildebrandstr. 5, 10785 Berlin.The Estonian Embassy in Berlin will host an event that blends the modern Tiny House movement with Estonia's rich sauna tradition. The event will showcase how the principles of minimalistic living, as embodied by the Tiny House concept, can harmoniously integrate with the ancient Estonian sauna rituals, offering a sustainable, wellness-focused lifestyle.
Programme:
• Expert Presentation on the Tiny House concept and the sustainable, minimalistic lifestyle movement surrounding it.
• Tiny Iglu-Sauna Demonstration, during which guests will have the chance to explore the innovative concept of tiny model saunas.
• Workshop where participants learn how to craft their own sauna brooms (saunaviht).
• Traditional Estonian Sauna Evening during which a sauna expert will share old Estonian sauna traditions, as well as songs and stories with the guests, while they enjoy a proper hot Estonian sauna experience accompanied by traditional local snacks and drinks.
Showers and some towels will be provided. All guests are encouraged to bring their own towels and flip-flops in order to fully enjoy this exclusive sauna experience.
