It is time again to announce the date for the most important archery event of the season; Tiny Bow!The annual tiny bow tournament will be held the Saturday of weekend 6, April 5th, at The Longbow Shop. 5:15pm start, if we need to adjust this because of the Greenwoode Grab we will.
As always, there are rules.
1: All bows must be of a traditional style; longbow, recurve, horsebow, etc, and may not be longer than 32" nock to nock when strung. Bows may be of natural or modern materials. Shelves are allowed, rests and sights are not.
2: Total arrow length must be 16" or less, any shaft material is allowed.
3: Tournament follows the format of the Royal Open; 2 arrows at each distance 5-1 scoring on the royal open face, bullseyes to break ties. Distances are 10ish, 7ish, and 5ish yards. Arrows must stick in the target to be counted for score, please ensure the penetrating ability of your shafts beforehand.
4: Entry fee of $5 must be payed to sign up. Sign up sheet will be at the Longbow Shop counter. The sheet will be divided into flights of 6 archers, please choose separate flights if you are sharing equiptment.
5: Heckling is encouraged and expected. Distraction of all sorts is allowed, as long as nothing used to distract the archer touches them while shooting. Wave a fan in their face, sing annoyingly loud(not directly in anyones ear), blow on the back of their neck, throw chex mix in the lane, etc.
Prizes awarded to the top 3 places.
Tiny accessories encouraged.
