Do you have some sketches or writing that you want to turn into a collection? Do you dream of making your own journals, or want to learn a new craft? This workshop is for you.
Chilean American book artist and educator Oli Vela Page is our guide, as we look at examples of simple book forms, such as sewn booklets, 8-page zines, and accordions. We'll also explore more techniques to expand and personalize our booklets, such as pop-ups, fold-outs and cutouts. You'll come away familiar with several simple book formats, and a booklet made by you! In just over an hour, you will have the knowledge you need to go home and put together your own artistic zine.
