Tinker Fest 2.0 is a day inter-school festival which celebrates curiosity and innovation. Students across the country can take part in the competition and showcase their skills. Organizing members: CBS Student Council The different competitions organized by our school are as follows Lego League Innovative projects display Shark tank Sumo robot Hackathon Drone race Lego League Challenges: Object Manipulation, Ramp and Incline and Sensors Integration. Rules: 1)No other materials are allowed, such as colours, clay, designs, or pre-assembled blocks. 2)Teams must register before the deadline. A team must consist of a minimum of two and a maximum of three students. 3)A team with more than 3 students will not be eligible for awards. The team must use approved LEGO equipment and software. Sumo robot challenge Rules: 1)The participating student(s) must design and build the robot so that it can fit within the sumo ring. 2)The robot`s diameter must not exceed 20cm (8 inches) and its height must not exceed 10cm (4 inches). 3)The robot`s weight should be no more than 500g (1.1 pounds). 4)The robot must operate autonomously or can be remote-controlled. 5)When designing and building the robot, safety measures must be taken to prevent potential harm to people or property. 6)The robot must not have any sharp edges or points that could cause injury. Drone Race Rules 1)Each student must bring their own RPA drone capable of flying indoors. 2)The drone must have a maximum speed of 45 km/h (28 mph) and weigh 300g. 3)Drones must fly within the designated course area at all times and can fly up to 200 feet (60 meters) off the ground. 4)Students must use their remote control to operate their drone. 5)Any pilot who fails to follow safety guidelines or disregards the rules will be disqualified from the event. Best Innovation Challenge Challenge category: Environmental, Health, Technology, Social Impact. Rules 1)Teams should be able to justify the relevance of their proposal to the theme. 2)The project must fall under one of the given categories. Teams must ensure that their prototype is safe for use and does not pose any risk to themselves or others. 3)Event organizers reserve the right to disqualify any team that creates a prototype deemed unsafe or poses a risk to others. Shark Tank The central theme of this event is "sustainable solutions," highlighting the pressing requirement for innovative approaches to tackle global challenges while prioritizing environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Participants will be assigned the responsibility of formulating and presenting innovative solutions that advocate for long-term viability and resilience across a wide range of fields, ultimately catalyzing positive transformations for a sustainable future. Rules 1)Teams must be able to justify the relevance of their proposal to the theme. 2)Teams that do not show up for the first round of pitches will be disqualified. 3)Pitches will be checked for plagiarism; they need to be original ideas, not copied. 4)The best pitches will be funded by the sharks Hackathon Themes include Sustainable Future, Health-Tech Revolution, Innovative Education, Smart Cities and Fintech. Rules 1)All programming must take place during the hackathon, while idea generation can occur before the event, any teams that include work they have done before the hackathon in their final project will be disqualified. 2)The use of GitHub for version control and tracking project progress is highly recommended. 3)Collusion with individuals outside of one`s team is strictly prohibited. Only team members should have access to the GitHub repository or code. 4)The project must align with one of the given themes. Plagiarism is prohibited and will result in disqualification. If code snippets are used, appropriate credit must be given. CASH PRIZES AND SCHOLARSHIP WILL BE AWARDED TO WINNERS Each competition will take place at different levels of our school. Entrepreneurs across the country will be part of the judging panel for the shark tank. The problem statement for all the competition is mentioned in the brochure. The fest will have food stalls where the participants can avail refreshments. Note: all the participants to report to the venue at 8:30 am sharp The locations of various competitions and program flows will be handed over to the participants at the venue. Event orientation will be conducted one week before the event date Age limit for registration: 11 years to 17 years Program flow: 9 AM to 10 am: Inauguration of the event by chief guest 10 am to 3 pm: various competitions will take place at different levels of the school 3 pm to 4 pm: prize distribution
