Funny, fierce, deep and accessible, Tina Packer’s Women of Will is the bonus content to Shakespeare’s plays that you have been searching for. Master Shakespearean, Tina Packer directs Elm Artistic Director Rebecca Goodheart - deconstructing and conjuring William Shakespeare’s most famous female characters in this exciting first production since Packer’s nationally acclaimed off-broadway run and international tour.
Part of Elm Shakespeare's Building a Brave New Theatre series. Created in the social and cultural reckoning that followed George Floyd’s M**der, Building a Brave New Theatre is an event and community conversation series that interrogates how Shakespeare serves the 21st century, explores compelling issues of the moment, and amplifies innovative theatre makers from historically marginalized communities.
Presented in partnership with Southern CT State University, CT Humanities, The Elizabethan Club of Yale University.
A post show discussion with the artists, wine, and appetizers is available Sunday May 19.
