About this Event
Unlike most patients with Alzheimer’s disease, Daniel Gibbs, M.D., Ph.D., R ’89 is a neurologist. He’s spent his life studying and caring for patients with the very disease now affecting him. “I’m fascinated by this disease that, for my entire career, I could only observe from the outside. Now I’m on the patient side of the experience.”
Experience this powerful story of one man’s battle with Alzheimer’s and his efforts to slow its progression. Join us for an exclusive screening of MTV Documentaries short film on Dr. Gibbs, followed by a facilitated Q & A with Dr. Gibbs and his physician, Joseph Quinn, M.D., R ’94, professor of neurology, OHSU School of Medicine.
This special event during Alzheimer’s Awareness Month is produced in partnership with the OHSU Layton Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease Center, the OHSU Brain Institute and the Alzheimer’s Association.
