It is believed by some game historians that the modern games of table billiards, snooker and pool originated from a medieval game played on the ground with maces/sticks, iron hoop, balls and a King pin/skittle.In medieval costume Jeff will present his interpretation of a medieval ball (bille) yard and provide all the equipment for visitors to the Abbey to participate in playing the game. It’s straightforward to learn, quick to play and tremendous historical fun for ages 8 to 80!
