Playhouse 2000 presents the first show in the 2024-25 Cailloux Performances Series, Time for Three, on Sunday, October 6 at 7 pm in the Cailloux Theater.Violinist Nicolas “Nick” Kendall, Violinist Charles Yang, and Bassist Ranaan Meyer, all alumni of the world-famous Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, are Time For Three, the Grammy and Emmy-winning ensemble that defies conventions with genre-bending excellence.
Their captivating sound starts in the Classical realm, then adds in elements of Americana, Bluegrass, Jazz and Singer-Songwriter styles, creating a performance to thrill the widest possible audience.
Time for Three has been featured frequently on National Public Radio, including on their “Tiny Desk Concert” series; with the Indianapolis Symphony, with which they were Artists in Residence for ten years; on ABC TV’s “Dancing With the Stars;” and on the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, among many other amazing places around the world.
They’ve created and commissioned new works with artists from classical composers like William Bolcom and Jennifer Higdon – both Pulitzer Prize winners – to influencers like Jazz artists Branford Marsalis and Chris Brubeck; film Director Robin Wright; and even pop/rap legend Kanye West.
With charismatic performances and remarkable achievements, Time For Three continues to push creative boundaries, leaving audiences worldwide captivated.
