Tim Edey is a multi-instrumentalist who was born in Kent with Irish parents but now lives in Scotland. In 2012 he was awarded Musician of the Year by BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and the same title in 2020 in the Scots Trad Music Awards.He has previously played with The Chieftains, Christy Moore, Sharon Shannon, Frankie Gavin and Seamus Begley to name but a few...he's now a respected artist in his own right and is rated by many as one of the world's finest melodeon and guitar players in the folk and contemporary scene.
