The first of this year's Betjeman Sessions features Multi-instrumentalist Tim Edey.Musician of the Year at the 2012 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards (he also won Best Duo with Brendan Power) and in the 2020 MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards, the guitarist and melodeonist has toured the world and recorded with a huge list of major names in Celtic/Contemporary roots music including The Chieftains, Christy Moore, Sharon Shannon, Ross Ainslie, Altan, Capercaillie, Dougie Maclean, Mary Black and Julie Fowlis.
Now a name on the world stage in his own right and, after seventeen years of hard work, he's rated by many to be one of the world's finest ever melodeon and guitar players on the folk and contemporary scene.
Tim's live solo shows are a stunning mix of world music inspired instrumental virtuosity and passion with a strong Celtic theme, delivering a highly entertaining night of musical genius and immense fun.
