Join North Downs Way Ambassador Pete Lambert on this incredibly scenic and hilly 6 mile circular walk in conjunction with Date in the Diary. We will see some amazing views and explore the history of the area which will take us through the Chantries, St. Martha's and Chilworth Gunpowder Mills. This is one of our very favourite hikes and it has a little bit of everything with views, woodland, rivers, lakes and history.
Bring with you suitable hiking clothes, fluids to drink and some snacks for energy. You are more than welcome to bring a packed lunch for when we reach St. Martha's.
The hike has 2 climbs which although quite short are steep but we will go at the pace of the group and take regular pitstops.
Meet outside the Percy Arms for a 9:30am PROMPT start.
This event is promoted by Date in the Diary and is aimed at social singles looking to connect.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
The Percy Arms is based opposite Chilworth Train Station but please check timetables if travelling by train as at the weekend they are few and far between.
If parking please try to park in the street as the Percy Arms car park is for patrons only.
Hopefully the weather will be kind and we can finish at the Percy Arms for a well deserved drink and some amazing food if you wish.
