Successful crime fiction author, Andy Griffee, will be talking about watery deaths at Sidmouth library.Andy, who has had five books published in his Johnson & Wilde crime mystery series, will be giving his talk, ‘Dead In The Water’ at 11am on Thursday September 25th. His books follow the fortunes of a couple, Jack Johnson and Nina Wilde, who criss-cross the country in a canal boat with Eddie, their border terrier.
“I shall be talking about crime fiction in general and its enormous popularity, explaining why I set my books on canals and waterways and describing something of the creative process,” says Andy, who is a former BBC reporter and senior manager and a regular visitor to Sidmouth.
The books, which some have dubbed ‘tiller-thrillers’, have proved popular with readers and critics alike.
Tickets to the talk are available from the library in advance and the £2 entrance fee includes a chance to win paperback copies of all three of the first books in the series, Canal Pushers, River Rats and Oxford Blues.
