- Pangot, located near Nainital (Uttarakhand), is known for its pristine oak–pine forests and rich biodiversity.
- By Car:
- Pangot is about 45–60 minutes from Nainital. Parking is available around Jungle Lore Birding Lodge.
- By Bus:
- Take a bus to Nainital, then hire a taxi to Pangot.
- By Train:
- Nearest station: Kathgodam (approx. 50–60 km). Taxis are readily available.
Weather Conditions
Early January in Pangot is cold, with temperatures ranging between 3°C and 12°C. Expect crisp mountain air, a cool morning breeze, and excellent conditions for observing birds and forest habitats.
