In this one-day course, I share what I have learned in the past 9 years using a Structured Literacy approach with my intervention students. Together, we will explore evidence based practices built on the Science of Reading and Learning. This is a highly practical course that builds on the teacher’s prior knowledge of the theory behind Structured Literacy.

What is covered:

· How to set up an intervention programme (we go through what it looks like and what is needed to run an effective programme)

· How to build fluency and comprehension

· How to get students encoding and decoding accurately

· Learn how to move reluctant readers

· See a Structured Literacy Intervention lesson being modelled

· Explore resources that reinforce learning

· Q&A - Ask me those questions that help you with your situation

Please note that once registration is complete no refunds will be given. However, if you cannot make it on the day, your ticket is transferable to another workshop or to another person for the day.
