Singers in the Round is a collaborative experiment to connect artists and venues across Michigan. The May tour features Hunter VanKlompenberg, Glenbrooke, Drew Hale, Dylan Tolbert, and Jacki Daniels.
About the Artists:
Hunter VanKlompenberg
Hunter VanKlompenberg is a songwriter and music producer with roots in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Nashville, Tennessee. His music pulls together indie rock, alt-electronic, and jazz influences to create texturally-unique emotion-driven songs. Hunter draws influences from modern artists such as Bon Iver, Fiona Apple, Glass Animals, and Tame Impala, as well as older references such as Louis Prima and Astrud Gilberto. Hunter VanKlompenberg’s original songs feature themes of vulnerability, family, grieving, social relationships, and personal discovery through a self-reflective and, at times, satirical lens. His music has been featured on radio stations such as Nashville’s Lightning 100 and Grand Rapids’ Local Spins radio.
Glenbrooke
Country artist GlenBrooke's latest single, "Moving On," released on September 15, is a compelling testament to the power of music to heal and resonate with the deepest of human emotions. With her powerhouse vocals and a masterful blend of country melody and rock-inspired licks, GlenBrooke artfully captures the raw, relatable experience of moving on from a relationship, even when the heart isn't quite ready to let go. Produced in collaboration with South Light Sound, known for their Grammy-award-winning projects, "Moving On" emerges as a healing balm for the broken-hearted and an infectious anthem for those seeking solace on back roads with the windows down.
Drew Hale
All over the Midwest and around the country, the name Drew Hale is synonymous with soaring vocals, haunting melodies, and high energy live shows. A singer/songwriter and native Texan, Drew’s style of music pays homage to his roots in the red dirt and southern rock scenes of Texas and the Southwest, while his lyrics speak to his deep affection for the lifestyle and culture of his home in Northern Michigan. Drew is the winner of the 34th annual Country Showdown national championship, which took place at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and earned him the title of ‘Best New Act in Country Music’. He also was named one of the 5 overall winners in the national Tractor Supply Emerging Artists competition in 2023, landing him a mentorship with Lainey Wilson, and his first official performance at the Grand Ole Opry, country music's most famous stage.
Dylan Tolbert
Originally from Three Rivers, MI, Dylan Tolbert has lived in the Kalamazoo area since 2018. Since then he has played at various venues in the Southwest Michigan area. Vocalist, drummer, pianist, and guitarist are just a few words to explain the talented multi-instrumentalist. Cover music from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Prince, Marvin Gaye, U2, Elvis, and Chris Stapleton are also in Tolbert’s repertoire.
March 29th, 2021 marked the date of Tolbert’s first album, “Tolbert Drive”, which is streaming on all music streaming platforms.
Jacki Daniels
Jacki Daniels is a Michigan-based, Nashville recording artist with a passion for writing personal, heartfelt songs and putting on high-energy, soulful performances that connect with audiences of all ages. This pop country Queen has performed for thousands across the country at major events like Arts, Beats and Eats in Royal Oak, MI and SXSW in Austin, TX. She's also graced the stage in theaters across the states touring with a Kenny Rogers Tribute Show. When Jacki isn’t touring, she spends her time working as a clinical therapist, domestic and international adoption specialist, modeling and songwriting. You can stream her music everywhere including TouchTunes jukeboxes across the country. Check out tour dates and more at www.thejackidanielsshow.com
