Qigong encompasses numerous ancient Chinese energy healing practices. Translated as "Life Force Cultivation," it involves gentle, meditative movement and breathwork. Qigong promotes overall wellness, boosts immune functioning, and engenders a sense of well being and wholeness. Tai Chi as a martial art is based on the same ancient principles as Qigong. In our practice, we integrate meditative Tai Chi moves to improve balance and concentration.
The location is in the historic Bethel Congregational UCC, 536 N. Euclid Ave., Ontario, CA. How wonderful that they would make their beautiful, contemplative space available to us!

About the teacher:
Lee Conger, Integral Qigong and Tai Chi (certified teacher), has been leading sessions weekly since 2011 in various Los Angeles-area venues, including the Ortiz Taylor House: Historic Cultural Monument #1144, the "Urban Wilderness Qigong Grotto" (on a secluded, undeveloped hillside in Silver Lake), Metabolic Studio (and their outdoor spaces: Anabolic Monument and Under Spring), the Micheltorena Elementary School Community Garden as offerings via the Silver Lake Time Bank and Trade School Los Angeles), Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center (where he worked as a psychotherapist 1998-2020). In the early days of the COVID pandemic, he provided 5 online sessions per week, and was awarded a contract with the Los Angeles County Health Department's Office of Diversion and Reentry to lead weekly "Tai Chi Therapy" sessions at several transitional housing establishments in South Los Angeles. Currently, the outdoor Silver Lake gatherings occur on the first Sunday of every month, 9:00-10:00AM. Since moving to Claremont, CA in October, 2023, Lee has been asked to lead Qigong at Pilgrim Place (an intentional / retirement community) on a monthly basis.
Lee's teachers have included Dr. Roger Jahnke, OMD (co-founder of the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi (IIQTC), Santa Barbara), Margaret Flynn, Susan Quon, Marvin Smalheiser (the late founder in 1977 of Tai Chi Magazine), and his own students to whom he is grateful for their encouragement and generous gifts of presence, commitment, Qi, and Metta.
