In August enjoy a special screening of Derek, a film involving two courageous and innovative artists, Derek Jarman and Isaac Julien – one the subject and one the filmmaker. This unique film provides a cinematic journey that illuminates the work and enduring importance of the late Derek Jarman. There will also be live music in the courtyard and our regular creative activities.Our Thursday Late event will follow this schedule:
5-6pm - Library Show and Tell
5.45-7.45pm - Live music in the courtyard – Rob Johnston and Tim Gower
6-7.30pm - Film Screening: Derek by Isaac Julien (tickets sold separately)
6.30- 8pm - Drink and Draw Studio workshop (tickets sold separately)
6-8pm - Drop-in Life Drawing with Wendy Barratt
Admission to the gallery and exhibitions is free if you purchase a ticket for a talk or studio workshop, otherwise admission is half price.
