About the Class: This is an 8 week long class that will teach the fundamentals of long form Improv Comedy. Topics covered include agreement with a scene partner, character creation, listening as a character and an actor, and exploring the worlds created in scenes. The class ends with a graduation show where the students can show their friends and family the skills learned. Students must be 18 or older for this class!
This Class will run Thursdays from 7pm-9pm on the following dates: 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29, 6/5, 6/12, 6/19, and 6/26. This class has a class show on Saturday 6/28 at 3pm! You can miss no more than two session to be eligible for the class show! Ticket sale ends at noon on Tuesday 6/24!
About the teacher: Angie has been honing her craft in improvised comedy since 2015 and has been a proud member of the Lancaster Improv Players (LIP) for five years. She currently coaches LIP's house team, Peach Soda, and performs with two other house teams. With a strong background in both short-form and long-form improv, Angie encourages performers to embrace their unique creativity, quirks, and individuality on stage. Known for her love of playing eccentric characters—goblins, ghouls, witches, and other delightfully strange beings—Angie brings a refreshing and unpredictable energy to every show. Come out and join the fun—there’s always something exciting happening!
Scholarships: Some scholarships are available to partially or fully cover the cost of the stated class fee. For additional information, please reach out to [email protected] with your request at least a week prior to the start date of the class.
Refund Policy: We will not refund any orders after the start of the first session.
Parking: There is street parking around the theater on Prince St, King St, and Vine St, which is not metered after 6pm and not metered Sundays! The parking garages are open. Steinman Garage, Prince St Garage, and Duke St Garage are recommended in that order! On the weekends the garage is $5 for the whole day!
