About this Event

Thursday 11th July - medium walk

Lankrigg and Whoap

These lovely fells are accessed from the Cold Fell road. The walk will be a medium hilly walk, and will be around 9km, with 400m of height gain. Please keep track of the walks you have done with us before, and the height gain, so that you can compare how hilly things will feel for you.

We will be walking on a mix of grassy and muddy paths, and although we will go at a steady pace to suit the group, you will still need to be ok walking continuously up or down hill!

These days are specifically for women living in West Cumbria. We'll go on a different walk each month, have a lovely time outdoors, and build up our hill skills, looking at areas such as map reading, choosing routes, and safety on the hills. The days will be supportive and fun, and it really doesn't matter if you are a total beginner! We'll go at a pace to suit the group, and each month will be a little different.
