Thugshop x Unmute Presents: Never Tooo Loud with Mareena + dj sweet6teenWe’re joining forces with Unmute again, this time bringing over Tresor’s resident Mareena to our cages on September 27th and dj sweet6teen’s debut Upstairs, coming all the way from Cologne.
Notably, the Berlin based artist has held the famed residency for more than a decade, a sign of doing things right. Beyond Berlin though, Mareena has also played at the likes of De School, KALT Club, Faust Seoul, as well as festivals such as Movement and UNDER.
As a producer, she slows down the BPM – trading the flurry of Techno for an ambient, downtempo approach. She’s released luscious soundscapes on Editions, Tresor, and her very own Berlin-based record label Unrush. Besides releases, Unrush also puts out mixes that take “a step away from the pounding hedonism of the club to showcase the other side of electronic music”.
Come the 27th, Mareena will make her debut at Headquarters, bringing along with her the flavours of Berlin and Tresor onto our dancefloor. Opening the night will be Midnight Shift’s co-capitan Kavan
It’s an all German affair as dj sweet6teen is on controls Upstairs, with 3MZY and LTLX on support.

Known for her digs, the eclectic selector is set to take things deeper on the night. Whether it’s 90s rave classics, breaks and House thumpers, or anything in between and around, it’s probably in her bag.
Her distinctive style has brought her behind the decks at venues all around the world like Watergate in Berlin, The Gasometer Hotel in Melbourne, and Pawnshop in Taipei. Now, she’s coming hot off a busy summer schedule, playing festivals such as UK’s Gottwood, Belgium’s Paradise City, and the Netherlands’ Lago Lago to name a few.
