Caliko are a collaboration with Vanessa Jade Muir and Paul Greene, based in Nowra on the NSW South Coast. Their first single ‘Everybody Knows’ was released in December 2023 and has Charted No. 2 on the Regional AMRAP charts, with the follow up single ‘I Want You’ set for release 25th March 2024. Vanessa Jade Muir was discovered as a songwriter by Casey Chambers and went on to form ‘Hot Spoke’ with members of Boy and Bear and were signed to Ivey League and managed by Andy.. She has collaborated with Nora Jones’s Band, Jet, and was on a promising trajectory when Covid and pregnancy changed her plans and saw her move to Jervis Bay on the South Coast NSW. It was there that she met Producer, Songwriter and Aria Finalist Paul Greene.
Paul Greene has had a distinguished career as a songwriter, independent musician and Producer. His collaboration with Rob Hirst off Midnight Oil as ‘Hirst & Greene’ and well as producing albums for Greg Arnold, Kirsty Lee Akers and James Blundell as well as a host of others have paved a notable and distinctive path for Greene. He has also toured with Patty Griffin and Alvin Youngblood Hart, fronted Spy V Spy and played many of Australia’s Festival steadfast, toured Europe, North America, Brazil, and Japan.

Paul and Vanessa began working on a body of work that has became a body of work due for release in 2024 through Sounds Delicious Records as Caliko.
Their musical chemistry is palpable, with Ness Quinn on acoustic with her angelic vocals and Paul Greene on Baritone adding stunning texture and harmonies that sonically belies the sum of their parts. Alt Country but with an Urban twist, Caliko are as adept in the Studio as on the road and will be touring in 2024 to support their forthcoming album.
In December 2023, Caliko were selected by Music NSW to take part in the Sister Cities Tour and joined forces with Robyn Martin Band and Mayfair Lane for a run Of Shows on the South Coast. The Line up proved to work extremely well with Robyn Martin and Caliko keen to Collaborate in support of their new music releases.
Caliko’s Debut album will be set for release in June 2024.
