Radio legend, Mick Brown has been top of the music game for over 30years, making radio, club nights, festivals, awards nights and weddingsmagical moments to remember. Mick gets the party going and will ensureyour event hits all the high notes. Mick has recently been releasing newmusic with a cover of Wham’s “Wake Me Up” which will feature on anAlbum called “Re-discovered, Mick Brown Presents Re-Discovered All Stars”.This is an album of famous songs, covered by artists such as: Lee John,Sinitta, Kim Myzelle, Junior, Let Loose, Denise Pearson (5 Star), Owen Paul,David Grant, Want Chung and Ben from Phats and Small.
Mick worked at Capital FM & Capital Gold for 30 years building incrediblysuccessful shows including the breakfast show before moving onto otherexciting radio projects.In 1978, Mick moved to Capital Radio where he joined as a copywriter andafter 2 years he returned to production, working with some of the greatestDJs of all time including: Alan Freeman, Kenny Everett and Chris Tarrant.7 years later, Mick turned his hand from producing to presenting, where hejoined forces with Pat Sharp for the “Pat and Mick Show”. At Capital, Mickworked on all the available presenting slots, including lunch time, drivetime and weekends, finishing his 29 years at Capital presenting the CapitalGold London Breakfast Show.During his time at Capital, Mick has been privileged enough to work withand interview some of the biggest music stars of our time, including: PaulMcCartney, Elton John, George Michael, Take That, Lulu, Cliff Richard, TinaTurner, Barry Manilow, The Bee Gees, to name but a few!As well as playing some of the greatest hits of all time, Mick has alsodabbled in covering some of the greatest hits of all time too. During thelate 80s and early 90s, Mick helped raise nearly £500,000 for the charity‘Help A London Child’, where he worked with Stock, Aitken Waterman andhis co-host Pat Sharp to perform 6 hit singles – video here. This wasperformed live at the Stock, Aitken & Waterman Hit Factory Live in 2012.In 2004, Mick wrote and performed the hit FA Cup final song for Londonfootball club, Millwall FC, “Oh Millwall” which charted within the Top 40.2 years later, he also wrote and performed Capital Gold’s Official Song forEuro 2006 “Sing For England”.Mick joined Radio Jackie in October 2007 and has been the drive time hostever since. Radio Jackie is one of the leading stations in South West Londonand North Surrey.Mick worked at Delite Radio as the breakfast show host from January 2017until February 2023 where he took over the Breakfast Show on the fast-growing Delux Radio. Mick now features on Delux and Delux Gold.
