Three Songs Each - An evening of solo performances

Oh hello there!
This gig blurb might be a little bit different to the usuals. Not too much marketing fluff, more like a personal invitation.
This event is a gathering of songwriters - extraordinary and possibly unfamiliar to you. Pure raw talent, profoundly moving musicians.
We are a collective of creatives who love songs and words.
We love the way a melody can etch into the subconscious, the lyrics that help you make sense of the world, the voices that crack in all the right places, the humour that’s sometimes entangled in the complexities.
What we love most is when the artist feels comfortable sharing.
We’re all about the songs that live in the corner of the mind, the corner of the pub, the corner of the notebook.
We love the intimate sets that stay with you forever and the colours these moments bring to our lives.
Three Songs Each is exactly this - a night where each artist shares three songs, and tells you where they came from. They’ll take turns, playing solo, three songs each, weaving their voices and stories throughout the night.
8:00PM – Doors
8:30PM – 10:30PM – Songs + Stories
It’ll be small and special.
Lots of love! x
In alphabetical order:
Abby Wallace (TAS) * first ever Naarm/Melbourne show
Abby is a writer, a reader and a mother from Lutruwita/Tasmania. Whether in song or in prose, Abby’s work always reaches toward truth, tenderness, and the quiet bravery of being fully alive. She is currently moulding her debut collection of songs on the banks of Kanamaluka/River Tamar in Launceston with acclaimed producer, John Castle. Abby’s music has received an immense amount of praise in these early stages of her career and she has recently shared the stage with Adam Newling, Mia Wray and Thelma Plum.

Caisha Sprout (VIC)
Caisha Sprout is a Naarm/Melbourne based artist who started writing songs in the school music room at 14. To Caisha, songs are the gateway to process and reflect on their own lives. Music is a magical vessel and she sees herself as the humble storyteller, getting lost in the song just as much as you do. Caisha’s songs celebrate the hard stuff, the good stuff and the everything in between. She has recently supported Adam Newling, Mia Wray and Flynn Gurry and has been working on her upcoming EP with award-winning producer Jono Steer. Caisha has played shows in India and Dubai, with India embracing her and adding her music to Radio One India.
Cooper Lower (VIC)
Cooper Lower is a Naarm/Melbourne based folk artist whose songs call us into intimacy with our quieter parts. With brave and tender vocals, Cooper’s stories have captivated audiences all over the world. He has toured internationally and played key festivals in Europe, UK the US and right back to home to his roots in regional Victoria. Cooper is one of the most exciting local songwriters/artists/producers/lyricists and creative collaborators. He will be performing songs from his upcoming record that he has recently recorded in Poland.
Oscar O’Shea (TAS) * first ever Naarm/Melbourne show
Born and based in Lutruwita/Tasmania, singer-songwriter Oscar O’Shea’s music holds his audience with his folk-based and story-rich songs. He explores the nature of his personal relationships and all the emotions that can be evoked by navigating life’s changes. His debut EP ‘Last Light & Lost Meaning’ is set for release in October. He will be showcasing songs from his debut EP and so beautifully articulating the meaning behind his songs and his personal musical journey, which almost didn't exist, until a fateful meeting with producer John Castle.
Rupert Bullard (TAS)
Rupert Bullard is an emerging, independent artist from Lutruwita/Tasmania. At 18 years old, Rupert has already played over 100 shows. His lyricism, musicality and melody have quickly seen him marked as a rising voice in Australian music. His songs are poetic, inspired by love, rugged coastlines, nature and the layered history of his island home. Rupert’s self-released EP was fully recorded between the high school music room and his bedroom. It has captured exactly the beauty we search for in music and stories; raw, real, human. Rupert has just been booked on his first international trip to support Mick Flannery & Susan O’Neill in the UK in December and he’ll be celebrating with us at this showcase before he jets off.
