About this Event
Connect. Eat. Celebrate. Join us for an event celebrating the Three Sisters, corn, squash, and beans, and their beautiful reciprocal relationship.
The hope is to connect together, share food, and celebrate the ways in which we as people also bring unique gifts that when used together, create beautiful outcomes. We rely on each other in our reciprocal human communities, and we are better together. Nature models this for us through the Three Sisters, and it is something worth honoring and celebrating!
Come learn about the Three Sisters, eat delicious food, and have meaningful conversations that celebrate our own unique gifts and honor the unique gifts of others, too. We can't wait to see you there!
Three Sisters Short Description (more to come at the event!)
The "Three Sisters" in Native American agriculture, particularly among Iroquois and Cherokee people, are plants that benefit each other through a symbiotic relationship. Corn provides a trellis, beans add nitrogen, and squash leaves suppress weeds.
