PRESENTED BY: Daniel Hill, Stewardship Director of Three Rivers Land and Trust."Three Rivers Land Trust is a non-profit and community-supported conservation organization dedicated to preserving farms, forests, wetlands, wildlife habitat, and special places in our five-town service area, while developing lasting connections between our community and the land in our care.
Our three rivers are the Little Ossipee, the Salmon Falls, and the upper Mousam, and our service area envelops Acton, Alfred, Lebanon, Shapleigh and Sanford/Springvale.
The land trust acquires land and also partners with landowners to create conservation easements that protects their land from development for the benefit of current and future generations. Year round stewardship by land trust staff and volunteers on the land we own helps to restore natural habitats and improve the health of the land, in addition to providing access to trails and educational opportunities.
