Imagine condensing an 80,000-word thesis into just 180 seconds!
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a prestigious global competition that challenges researchers to battle the clock.
𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧?
Explain your complex research to a general audience in a way that is engaging, clear, and impactful. No jargon, no complex animations- just one slide, one speaker, and three minutes to shine.
𝟏.𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬:
To keep the playing field level, we follow strict international guidelines:
💠𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤: You have exactly 3 minutes. Exceeding this limit results in immediate disqualification. Timing begins the moment you start speaking or move.
💠𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐬: Only one single, static PowerPoint slide is permitted. No slide transitions, animations, or movement of any description are allowed.
💠𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚: No additional electronic media (e.g., sound or video files) are permitted.
💠𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐬: No additional props (costumes, musical instruments, lab equipment) may be used.
💠𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲: Presentations must be spoken word only (no singing, rapping, or poetry).
💠𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥: You must communicate your research clearly to a non-specialist audience.

We are looking for innovative minds in the world of electronics! You can participate if you are:
✔️ A 𝟑𝐫𝐝/𝟒𝐭𝐡-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 or 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫’𝐬 student.
✔️ Currently conducting research or a thesis in 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬, 𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.
