Maxwell is a Liverpool novelist, filmmaker, and lecturer at LJMU whose work explores the city’s transatlantic ties. Carol Maginn’s Adelphi uncovers intrigue behind the grandeur of Liverpool’s iconic hotel; she is a playwright and author of three novels and acclaimed plays including Kitty. Kevin Cowdall’s Cosgrove’s Sketches is a poignant Edwardian family saga; Cowdall is a poet and author with over 300 published poems and multiple books.
