Three Adelaide International Print exchanges at the City of West Torrens Auditorium Gallery
Dates: Thursday, 1 June to Thursday 29 June.
Exhibition Opening: Thursday, 1 June 2023 5:00PM- 8:00PM.
Printmakers from all over Australia and from many other parts of the world have contributed to these print exchanges. The theme in all three cases was the preciousness of our natural world and what it means to each contributor. Each artist sent an edition of 12 handmade prints, of which ten were distributed randomly amongst the contributors, while one was retained for display and the other made available for sale. Some artists sent extra prints that are available for sale.
The third and final exchange, 'Interwoven', was exhibited at the SA Museum during the 2022 Nature Festival.
'Interwoven' is about the vital connections between every living thing on the planet, which humans need to return to understanding and respecting. We must act now, to ensure that our planet survives. If we cultivate respect for our planet, then maybe we will survive as well.
Prints from all three exchanges will be on display at the City of West Torrens Gallery.
More information about all the International Print Exchanges can be found on the Global Oceans blog:
