About this Event
Led by our expert instructors, this in-person event offers an interactive and engaging learning experience designed to build practical, actionable skills. This event will be hosted by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation in Westlake Village, CA.
Through our intensive 8-hour program, learners will gain a working knowledge of the terms and concepts associated with baselining and active threat assessment. They will learn how to systematically observe any environment, assess threat levels using visible behaviors, and identify potentially threatening individuals and situations.
Participants will explore how to assess a baseline using the Behavioral Baseline Instrument (BBI), identify roles, deviations, and objectives of individuals in their environment, and recognize relevant behavioral threat indicators. The program also covers how to identify a Person of Interest (POI) and recognize a potential or imminent threat such as someone carrying a concealed weapon, conducting surveillance of a target, or working in an organized potentially criminal group.
Upon completion, participants will earn 8 CPE credits applicable toward maintaining ASIS APP, CPP, PCI, and PSP certifications.
