Eliahu Shako - Event Speaker & co-project leader
Eliahu Shako is a dedicated advocate and former paratrooper in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), having served in Unit 890. A disabled veteran who was wounded in 1982, Eliahu has transformed his personal journey of recovery into a powerful mission of support for wounded IDF soldiers.
After overcoming his own physical and emotional challenges, Eliahu felt compelled to give back to his fellow veterans. His personal experiences led him to dedicate his life entirely to volunteer work, focusing on helping other injured soldiers rebuild their strength, dignity, and hope—especially those whose stories often go unheard.
As a leader in the field, Eliahu organizes national and international Healing and Empowerment Missions for disabled IDF veterans. Notably, he spearheads innovative 14-day missions abroad specifically designed for wounded female combat soldiers, aiming to provide them with the recognition, support, and healing they rightly deserve. By connecting these brave individuals with Jewish communities around the globe, Eliahu fosters a sense of belonging and appreciation for their sacrifices.
Driven by a profound sense of duty and a passion for service, Eliahu dedicates all of his efforts on a completely volunteer basis.
