Join us for a rare and exciting historical event as Jo Watson of Lamhan and Michelle Barker of the Georgian Costume Study Centre examine a remarkable artifact—the waistcoat worn by Prince Charles Edward Stuart at Fassifern on 21st August 1745.
This waistcoat is the only known garment with 100% accurate provenance as having been worn by the Prince. During this special event, Jo and Michelle will take precise measurements and discuss the historical significance of this extraordinary piece of Jacobite history with museum visitors.
They will then move on the West Highland Museum on 17th and 18th April to continue their research and will engage with museum visitors there
