When someone we love passes away, they often leave behind projects that remain unfinished – crocheting, knitting, sewing, or other handiwork that once carried their touch.Choosing to finish these projects is a way of staying connected. Each stitch becomes a continuation of the love and care that they had for both us and their crafts. In carrying their work forward, we honor their creativity and presence while weaving our own hands and hearts into the creations they began.
Whether you are an experienced crafter, or have never picked up a needle, we invite you to bring your loved ones’ unfinished textile projects (crochet, knitting, embroidery, or quilting) to continue the creations they have begun as we share stories of our loved ones. The soon-to-be-completed piece reminds us that while our loved one’s life may have ended, the threads of love, memory, and a shared work remain strong, binding us to them in new and meaningful ways.
Please join us on Sunday, February 22, 2-4 pm at Crazy Wisdom (114 S Main St, Ann Arbor). Light refreshments will be available.
