Join us for an immersive afternoon where ancestral tradition and contemporary expression meet in a shared circle of resilience, story, and song. The gathering opens with a land acknowledgment honoring the original stewards of this land, followed by a Ukrainian bread and salt ceremony — a gesture of gratitude and welcome that extends hospitality to all.
At 3:45 PM, experience the unveiling of the REDdressWHITEdress installation, an evocative community work interwoven with memory, loss, and healing.
From there, the stage comes alive with two powerful voices:
Inna Kovtun, one of Ukraine’s most celebrated ethno-singers, carrying matriarchal strength and ancestral memory through the power of folk and contemporary song.
Scott Kalama (Blue Flamez), an Indigenous hip-hop artist whose lyrics and beats carry the fire of identity, survival, and belonging.
Together, they create a pan-cultural performance where traditions intertwine, resilience is voiced, and new pathways of connection are born.
Throughout the afternoon, Café des Chutes will be open, offering its warm hospitality, with a free buffet of Ukrainian comfort food to nourish body and spirit alike.
