Join us for an introductory book binding and journaling workshop exploring themes around nostalgia and the passage of time.
About this Event

Join Yailenne Escobar of Para Las Mujeres for a unique workshop that introduces you to the art of bookbinding and journaling. This special event will take place on Sunday, June 23rd, from 1-3:30 pm, in collaboration with Processa Studio.

Admission is $30 (+ eventbrite fee). Come with an open mind and body to explore and discuss the theme: Reflecting on the Passage of Time. The workshop will dive into reflections on our evolving perspectives and the importance of prioritizing self-care during times of transition. Encouraging guests to explore how self-expression can be instrumental in the process of healing and rebuilding. This event is exclusively for women and queer friends, offering a supportive community space for healing. Show up just as you are.

About Yailenne & Para Las Mujeres:

Yailenne Escobar, (Pronounced JAI-LEEN; she/her) is a Colombian American visual artist, photographer, dancer and podcaster from Chicago, IL currently based in Brooklyn, NY. Escobar founded the digital and community based brand ‘Para Las Mujeres, For the Women’ in the Spring of 2019 to merge her passion for community development, women empowerment, and the arts. Para Las Mujeres has evolved into a podcast and platform for creative healing gatherings centering Women of Color to share their uncensored stories rooted in culture, mental health, and queerness. About Processa:

PROCESSA, formerly ARTSY WINDOW (est. 2015), is a roving curatorial platform that collaborates with galleries and artists. Our physical space in Ridgewood, Queens serves as an experimental studio and programming space run by curator and writer Kiara Ventura and artist Kameron Robinson.

PROCESSA centers the narratives of marginalized communities & artists of color. Our goal is to create curated experimental happenings to connect artists and the public.
