Free performances 29 June to 13 July By Jonathan Homsey starring Carmen Yih and Harshil Vora.
thoughts on destiny is a choreographic duet fueled by platonic intimacy and fate, led by rest, play and curiosity. Across three locations, this commissioned performance queers the perception of public art in Knox and its context. Carmen Yih and Harshil Vora, led by choreographer Jonathan Homsey, invite viewers to gather in the round as they use street, contemporary, and waacking dance vocabularies connected through classical music to create uncanny synchronicities. Whether it is called karma, fate or luck, thoughts on destiny speculate what is in and out of our control, highlighting the intricate interplay of determinism and chance in life's unfolding.
