A hoax gets out of hand when three fictitious poets-- whose intentionally bad poetry was written by three real poets-- become the toast of WWI-era American literature. In this illustrated talk, archivist and historian Jennie Benford homes in on how Pittsburgh, of all places, figured in the Spectra School of Poetry. Readings of select Spectric poems will be performed by a Pittsburgh favorite, actor Charles Altman.
