In 1905, Theosophists Annie Besant and Charles Leadbeater published , showing how thoughts and feelings appear to clairvoyant vision. These striking and colorful images became an inspiration for early 20th-century painters and have frequently appeared in exhibitions devoted to the spiritual in art. Yet behind them is a rich occult lore that touches on many aspects of Theosophical teaching, from dreams to karma, higher planes, and beings, to the “hidden side” of everyday life. In this illustrated lecture, Kurt Leland demonstrates that thought-forms are a key to the practical application of the divine wisdom called Theosophy.

Boston-based author and composer Kurt Leland is a national lecturer for the Theosophical Society in America and an international lecturer for the Theosophical Society (Adyar). He is the author of books on out-of-body experiences, near-death experiences, and transcendental experiences arising from composing, performing, and listening to music.
