Thompson Weave and Breathe for April (2nd session)- willow platters

Monthly willow workshops focusing on fun and well-being, while building willow weaving skills.
In April we'll be making willow platters.
About this Event

We are Stuart and Emma and we are willow weavers based in South Norfolk. We make baskets and gifts using willow grown in Somerset as well as willow that we harvest ourselves in Norfolk and Suffolk.
We run monthly willow weaving classes for adults with a focus on fun and wellbeing while exploring some traditional basketry skills. Each month we'll teach a new willow project - from birdfeeders through to Christmas decoratons. Come along monthly, or dip in now and then.
All tools and materials will be provided as well as teas, coffees and biscuits.
Arrive from 6:30 and we aim to be weaving by 6:45.
In April's workshop, we'll be using a traditional Catalan technique to create a willow platter also known as a tension tray.
Thompson Community Hall is a modern building with good parking, facilities and accessibilty.
