THOMALA SEVA:
The word "Thomala" means a garland of flowers. Seva or service simply refers to decorating Lord Venkateshwara with colorful, fragrant flowers and tulasi garlands.

THIRUPPAVADA SEVA:
For Thiruppavada seva, a huge mound of tamarid rice (pulihora) is placed directly in front of the Lord. After performing special puja, the pulihora is offered to Lord Venkateshwara as naivedyam and is then distributed among devotees. It is believed that one who takes part in Thiruppavada seva and receives the prasadam will face no shortage of food in their life.
