What to expect:
Meet archivists, curators, and preservation professionals and get rare behind-the-scenes access to historic materials in storage. You’ll explore historic photographs, maps, architectural drawings, deeds, newspapers, and more—while learning how to use these resources to research and care for your own historic property.
Evening highlights include:
- A short presentation from State Historic Preservation Office staff on preservation resources
- Small-group tours of archival stacks
- Hands-on time in the Reference Room with guided access to photographs, newspapers, maps, architectural firm records, and other research materials
- Behind-the-scenes visit to the Nebraska History Museum
This is a very limited engagement and registration is required! This is an excursion to Lincoln, and guests are expected to provide their own transportation.
