Overview
This workshop is a creative and engaging Sensory Art experience where participants will relax and find their center with a sound bowl meditation. Then design and create their own art journals. This workshop is designed to foster relaxation, creativity, and self-expression in a supportive environment.
Workshop Description
During this 2-hour guided session, attendees will first clear their mind with a mini sound bowl session - setting intentions for the journey they are creating.
Each attendee will receive a 4x4 mini journal and will be able to select from a variety of rocks, shells, crystals, charms and other materials to design each journey. We will explore various mixed-media techniques to personalize their art journals. We will also explore looking inward - using tips on designing the insides of your journal- suggestions such as, collage, painting, drawing, and written reflection, participants will leave with a unique, handcrafted book that serves as both an artistic expression and a mindful practice tool.
Objectives
- Introduce participants to the concept of art journaling as a creative and therapeutic outlet.
- Design your journey inside + out
- Encourage participants to create meaningful visual narratives through color, imagery, and writing.
- Build community through shared creative exploration.
Arrive a little early (6:15PM) to choose your center stone + sit in soothing sound vibrations
Structure of the Class
6:30– 6:45 PM: Welcome + introduction to art journaling
6:45 –7 PM: Sound bowl - creation meditation
7-8 PM CREATE YOUR JOURNEY
8– 8:15PM: Sharing, reflection, + finishing touches
8:15– 8:30 PM: Wrap-up
