Paper Hearts Reading Room is proud to host THIRTEEN TOMATOES a series by artist Ethan Farris. We would love for you to join us for the opening night - Friday, June 28 from 5-8pm. Artist Statement:
These works exhibit an inventive blending of observational subjects influenced by urban surroundings and natural landscapes. Using raw gestural applications of paint, distorted proportions, and graffiti-inspired aesthetics, these works convey a lively, improvisational approach similar to neo-expressionism.
Artist Bio:
Based in North Little Rock, Arkansas. After receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arkansas State University in drawing and ceramics, Ethan furthered his education at the University of Central Arkansas to obtain a Masters of Arts in Teaching. Outside of education, he creates works of art influenced by the vibrant energy of neo-expressionism combined with inspiration from urban aesthetics and western compositions.
