Fun Run - 9.00am - Not timed
Wheelchair Race - 9:50am
Thirsk 10 - 10:00am
The Thirsk 10 road running and wheelchair race is back for 2025 and once again we will be raising funds for our 3 chosen local and national charities - Herriot Hospice Homecare to help support the inpatient hospice care at The Lambert in Thirsk, Community Works to help support the drop-in facility in Thirsk and WheelPower, a national charity supporting wheelchair users in sport. There are charity places on offer - please email [email protected] for more information.
The course is on partially closed roads and is flat and fast, making it a popular 10-mile road race for PB’s and suitable for wheelchair athletes. We are looking at improvements to the course for 2025 and it will be formally measured by England Athletics meaning a new course record will be up for grabs!
We have a generous prize policy, with prizes for men and women for the first 5 overall runners, age category prizes and spot prizes.
We are offering T-shirts as part of your entrance fee. Sizes from XS to XXL. If you require XXS or XXXL, please put in additional information. If you choose 'no T-shirt', we will donate to our charities on your behalf. To guarantee your T-shirt, you must enter by latest 31st January 2025. There will be no entries on the day so please make sure you book in advance.
To help manage safety, we will be implementing a cut-off time this year at the 5 mile marker of 75 minutes. This equates to an overall finish time of around 2.5 hours which was very comfortably achieved by all entrants in 2024.
The race registration and finish are at Thirsk racecourse where there will be a Fun Run for children at 9:00am before the start of the race, entry on the day (£2/child). There will be a medal and Easter egg for every fun runner.
