See some glimpses from the first Aerial Jam here:
Apparatuses and training:
There will be Aerial Silks, Rope, Hoop, Trapeze, Straps and Vertical/wall dance. Still in maybe a flying pole, a lounge (for standing acro and duo trapeze), and a zipline. Bring apparatuses and slings/carabiners if you have and can transport them. Free height is 7 meters and we can rig at least 12 points. The event is open to all levels, and we will learn a lot from each other.
Accommodation:
We can stay in the hall from Friday until Sunday. Bring some sleeping mattress and sleeping bag, or similar. There is also a grassy area outside suitable for tents. Earplugs, a sleeping mask and a cozy pillow could be nice to have. There are dressing rooms, showers and a sauna.
General schedule:
Friday 15:00, we get access to the hall, and start rigging. Once the hall is set, we will have a welcome gathering, a general introduction to aerials (for new people), and free training.
23:00 to 08:00, lights out and peace and quiet in the big hall, time to rest.
Saturday we will arrange workshops on a more spontaneous basis. There will be a lot of open jam time.
Saturday 20:00 possibly a small open stage.
Sunday 10:00, morning gathering, soon start rigging down things that take time.
Sunday 13:30, final gathering, and cleaning up the place.
Sunday 15:00, the place should be clean and we should be out of there.
Travelling.
The easiest way to get to Albert Hall is by shared car. There is a large parking space just outside. There is a bus stop nearby "Långared kyrka", but there are not very many buses, especially on weekends. If you are travelling by train, see if anyone can pick you up or drop you off in Alingsås, or maybe Gothenburg. The discussion threads in the facebook event are excellent for coordinating travel.
Price/fee:
Admission for the hall, Friday to Sunday, is 318 SEK per person. This includes access to kitchen, sauna, and all. However food is not included.
Food:
There will be a common food group to coordinate shopping and cooking for Saturday and Sunday. Note that on Friday dinner, everyone brings their own food. The food will be vegetarian and vegan. Menu and price is not yet set, but expect an additional 200-300 SEK per person for groceries (to pay directly at the jam). Otherwise, you're free to use the kitchen to make your own food. In any case, bringing some snacks or energy bars is always recommended. There is no grocery store around the training hall.
Misc:
Bring a music instrument or a few if you would like, live music is always nice. Maybe a game.
Hope to see you all in the sky!
